Berry Pretzel Dessert
Pretzel Crust
* 2½ cups pretzels, coarsely crushed
* ¼ cup sugar
* ½ cup melted butter
Mix together, press into a 9x13 pan, and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Cool completely.
Cream Cheese Layer
* 8 oz cream cheese, softened
* 1 cup sugar
* 16 oz Tru Whip or Cool Whip
Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over the cooled pretzel crust, making sure to seal all the way to the edges.
Fruit Topping
* 1 quart strawberries, sliced
* 1–2 cups fresh blueberries
Arrange the strawberries and blueberries evenly over the cream cheese layer.
Optional Glaze (Recommended)
If you’d like the fruit to stay shiny and hold together a little better:
* ¼ cup sugar
* 1 tablespoon cornstarch
* ½ cup water
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Whisk together in a saucepan and cook until clear and slightly thickened. Let cool for 10–15 minutes, then drizzle over the berries.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving
